Adventurous Trip on the Water

I love the sea and beaches, and it is not surprising that my first suggestion as an Iranian to tourists who travel to Iran is to visit Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman and their beautiful beaches. The southern islands including Qeshm and Kish are the only tourism destinations in Iran where tourists can enjoy water recreation. Although Iran is a country of four seasons and almost all of its provinces meet spring, summer, fall and winter, but the southern islands do not have winter. Most tourists including me who lived in the Capital and experienced cold winters, prefer to travel to southern islands during fall and winter. Kish and Qeshm Islands have a moderate temperature, suitable for water recreation. Boating, jet-skiing, water park, flyboarding, diving with dolphins, shuttle riding, parasailing and submarine scooters are some recreations for tourists to enjoy in Persian Gulf. But the most important experience to travel to Qeshm is to visit Mangrove Forests. The forests are actually a collection of underwater trees that magically hide during the sea tide and appear again during the sea flow. Qeshm Mangrove Forests have very old and huge trees. It is interesting to know that the mangrove trees not only have accustomed to the saltwater after the years of living in the sea, but also have changed to natural desalination, so that their bark absorbs the sea salt.

Qeshm Mangrove Forests are extended several hectares and are located in the heart of Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. To visit any part of these spectacular forests, all you need to do is boarding a boat and crossing the zone.
